Alleged 4,000 PDP Decampees Fail To Appear At Rally In Jigawa State

LAGOS MARCH 19TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Four thousand members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who were reported to have decamped from the party on Sunday, March 18, failed to appear at a rally scheduled by the governor of Jigawa state, Muhammad Baduru.
The governor was present at Birnin Kudu local government area of the state to received the decamped politicians.Baduru however, left the venue of the supposed rally disappointed after the decampees failed to appear.
Premium Times reports that the event was organised by a member representing Birnin Kudu /Buji federal constituency, Magaji Da’u Aliyu.
Activities of the event included the donation of vehicles to party faithfuls and the flag off of a road as well as donate N20 million to students of higher institutions from Aliyu’s constituency.
It was also gathered that the leader of the decampees, Danmalam Unguwarya, failed to show up when he was called upon to make his speech on behalf of all his colleagues.
Reacting to the incident, Baduru dispapointed by the turn out of the event and crisis bickered by political thugs in the area, urged party members to emulate his style of politics.
He said politics should not be played without bitterness.
Baduru said: “Without unity their collective victory will be at a stake.”
He further flagged off the Waurno to Dankoshe feeder road, presented a N20 million prototype cheque to the leaders of the student unions and gave out keys of six vehicles to party officials from his constituency.
