Badoo Cultists Return, Eliminate Family of Four In Lagos

LAGOS JULY 31ST (NEWSRANGERS)-As at when Lagos residents taught the activities of the dreaded Badoo cult group that had been creating havoc in Ikorodu axis of Lagos state had been brought under control, the blood thirsty group was alleged to have struck again at Ibeshe in Ikorodu outskirt of Lagos state yesterday killing four people.
NEWSRANGERS.COM gathered that one of the victims of the early morning attack is still in critical condition and receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital in Ikorodu.
Spokesman of Lagos police command, Olarinde Famous-Cole, confirmed the killing.
According to him, “the murder incident was reported in the early hours of Sunday, July 30 after police operatives responded to a distress call at Oke-Ota, Ibeshe, Ikorodu area of Lagos and mobilized to the scene where the operatives found it extremely difficult to locate the house, which was situated in a thick forest and remotely impossible for anybody to identify a dwelling house in the area.
“They eventually arrived at the scene on foot, which is a house, just a room and parlour, with one open window and no visible form of security. They discovered that a family of five was attacked, three persons died on the spot, one died while receiving treatment at the hospital and the last victim is alive and responding to treatment.
“As investigation commenced, no visible trace of violence or clues linked to the cultist group was found. No stone was found at the scene. However, a case of murder is being investigated by police detectives, as it doesn’t fit into the modules operandi of the cult group.
“The Lagos State police command is using this opportunity to call on community leaders, local council officials and traditional rulers, who know persons staying in isolated areas, which are no longer safe to come and report/identify with the police in order to stop people from packing into obscure areas without proper social structures.
“The command also wishes to inform members of the public to come forward with useful information to aid the police and not resort to jungle justice while investigation is ongoing in order not to jeopardise the investigation that may lead to the arrest of the alleged suspects who are on the command’s watch list.”
