Madagascar Coach Boasts Of Beating Nigeria

LAGOS JUNE 30TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Nicolas Dupuis has set a one-point target at least for his team, Madagascar, to be sure of clinching a place in the Round of 16 at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
But he’s hopeful the Barea can snatch an unlikely win over favourites Nigeria on Sunday (today).
Madagascar, currently second in Group B with four points, trail leaders Nigeria by two points heading into their final game at the Alexandria stadium, needing just a point to advance to the next round.
“I am proud of what we have achieved in our very first AFCON but we face Nigeria and we expect a very tough game. We have to try and recover because there is some tiredness in the squad,”Dupuis said in the pre-match conference on Saturday.
“I have confidence in my players and I trust their abilities. I am proud of what they’ve done so far.
“We hope to win against Nigeria tomorrow (today). A point will be enough for us to progress but three points are better than one.
“Can we win? Why not? I’m convinced that if we manage to qualify from this our group with the big teams in it, we can win the tournament. The hardest thing for us was qualifying for this tournament, now we are here maybe we will play hosts Egypt in the final.
“We have our strategy we hope to deploy today. Maybe we won’t see much of the ball but we have a plan about what to do when we get it. We have a plan and we hope to do well tomorrow (today).
“We hope to win all our games at this tournament, that is our aim.
