Mandela 100 Years: Messi Leaves South African Fan In Tears

LAGOS MAY 17TH (NEWSRANGERS)-A South African fan cried tears of joy after Messi signed his Barcelona shirt. Barcelona are in South Africa to play Mamelodi Sundowns in the Mandela Cup. It commemorates 100 years since the birth of Nelson Mandela.
Messi and his Barca teammates are in the South African capital to play an end of season friendly against the Mamelodi Sundowns, four days before their final league game of the season at home to Real Sociedad.
The match was being played to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nelson Mandela , and is taking place at the same stadium where Spain won the 2010 World Cup thanks to a goal from soon-to-be departing Barca hero Andres Iniesta.
When asked by a reported if he has Messi’s signature on his shirt, the unnamed fan fan bursts into tears and points out where it is.
He continues: “Messi just signed my shirt and he’s my best player.
“I’ve supported Barcelona since I was young and I’m so happy that he signed my shirt.”
Messi appeared for the final 15 minutes of the match at Soccer City, which Barca won 3-1.
