PDP Loyalsts In E.K.Clark’s Community Back Isa Clark As Their Authentic Leader

Alhaji (Barr) Isa Clark

LAGOS DECEMBER 5TH (NEWSRANGERS)-PDP faithful, leaders and stalwarts of Ngbilebiri 2, ward 8 in Kiagbodo, Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State have thrown their full weight behind the leadership of Barr. Isa Clark just as they passed a vote of confidence on him.
Rising from a joint ward meeting on Monday at Kiagbodo, the PDP ward 8 chairman, Idowu Emevor hinted that, those faulting the leadership of Barr. Isa Clark are mischief makers noting that his transparent leadership has attracted moral and political justice to the ward and the local government at large. They urged those involved to desist and embrace peace and dialogue, if they have any genuine grouse.
In the same vein, the leaders of Burutu legislative arm and councilor for ward 13, Hon. Joseph Fuludu Alubeze and Hon Paul Oruma of ward 14 respectively posited thus “the allegation of self styled and dictatorial leadership made against Isa Clark has no persuasive sway because his emergence as PDP chieftain in Burutu LGA and the stratified number one leader of ward 8 has removed imposition of party candidates which has been the practice in Kiagbodo in the past.
“The writing of names by one Mr Godwin Masah, Ebikeme Clark and others without following due process was stopped by Alhaji Isa E. Clark. This ill action of theirs is therefore a political coup against a transparent leadership which has been enjoying the full support and loyalty of followers in the ward.”
This is even as the councilors stressed that the action of the disgruntled persons were geared at working against PDP in the ward and strongly advised them to retrace their steps in the interest of the party and the coming general elections.
The councilors also argued that the party constitution and guidelines do not empower any individual or group to gang up to remove a leader; maintaining that leadership position is earned through the process of hard work, dedication to the party’s course and sacrifice for others which according to them Alhaji Isa has over the years demonstrated .as such, nobody can remove or pass a vote of no confidence on him”.
On his part, the community chairman, Mr Jones Obulu described Mr Isa Clark as a visionary and people oriented in his approach to leadership, noting that those kicking against him are selfish just as he said his leadership has so far brought empowerment to various categories of persons in the ward.
Meanwhile, Linda Clark who spoke on behalf of the women has called on the former Burutu Local Government Council, Hon. Ebikeme Clark to publicly apologize to the old women and widows in the area for failing to fulfil his promise to them when in office.
According to her, when the former council chairman was in office, he asked the old women and the widows to open bank account with a promise to pay them a sum of ten thousand naira each monthly, but refused to fulfill his promise to them.
“The widows and aged women are very angry with the former council chairman, Hon. Ebikeme Clark because when he told them to open the bank account many of them even borrowed money to do so in the hope that he would actually pay, but at the end he did not pay any body anything. For that, they are very angry at him so they want him to come and apologise.”
Linda Clark further stated that the women and youth are angry with the former council boss because, he allegedly disengaged indigenes from their menial jobs such as security, sweeping of public places and others which his predecessor had given to the people to ameliorate their suffering.
“ But today all those people are jobless and cannot cater for themselves and families. So with all these the Hon. Ebikeme Clark has no moral justification to take over the leadership position of Isa Clark.”
