Robbers Raid Police Estate In Abuja, Cart Away Valuables

LAGOS MARCH 12TH (NEWSRANGERS)-An estate belonging to the police in Dakwa, Abuja was at the weekend attacked by suspected armed robbers who carted away several valuables.
The estate, known as Police Estate, was commissioned and named after a former Inspector General of Police, Sunday Adewusi, by the immediate past IGP, Ibrahim Idris, with a number of housing units sold or rented out to police officials and civilians.
It was learnt that the attack occurred mostly on a street named Peter Gana Crescent in the estate.
Some of the victims, who agreed to talk to our reporter in confidence, expressed shock over the operation by the robbers, which according to them lasted for hours.
“We were not aware of their arrival. It was after we woke up in the morning that we discovered that either our door or window was burgled.” one of the residents lamented. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Zuba, CSP Fodio Sani, who confirmed the incident, said there was no report of casualty in the whole of the incident, adding that investigation into the matter is ongoing.
