LAGOS DECEMBER 1ST (NEWSRANGERS)-Following his humiliating defeat at the governorship primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a second term in office, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State has virtually abandoned Lagos with refuse littering major streets and highways.

Environmentalists say something must be done urgently to evacuate the wastes to prevent infectious diseases from spreading to a large number of people in the state.
