JUST IN: Scores Feared Dead As Explosion Rocks Gas Plant In Lagos

LAGOS JANUARY 15TH (NEWSRANGERS)-No fewer than 10 people were reportedly dead and many others injured as a result of an inferno at the Second Coming Gas Plant located on CMD road in Magodo, Lagos.
The plant reportedly went up in flames on Monday morning and the inferno is said to have spread to other facilities in the neighbourhood.
A brief statement by the spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Bisi Kazeem, affirmed that the fire at the 2nd Coming Gas plant has spread to other properties in the neighbourhood.
Kazeem ‎advised motorists to seek other routes to avoid traffic jam in the area.
Right now the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained as officials of the Lagos State Fire Service are currently battling to put out the blaze.
However, reports from eye witness account who did not want his names on print alleged that the incident was triggered by a spark in a car which lighted the gas in a truck offloading the highly inflammable product at the facility.
