Xenophobia:Enugu Shoprite, Games Stores Close Down Business For Fear Of Reprisals

LAGOS SEPTEMBER 4TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Shoprite Polo Palm Mall Enugu has been shut down indefinitely. Also, Games shop, also owned by South Africans located in the same address as Shoprite has equally shut down.
Police officers and other security agents trying to maintain law and order around the complex disclosed that they heard exclusive information that some Nigerians were on their way to the complex to attack it.
Meanwhile, shoppers who were interviewed by our correspondent said they are tired of attacks on Nigerians in South Africa and are heading to Roban Stores, a Nigerian indigenous shopping mall also in Enugu to do their shopping.
Others also named Eastern Shops and other indigenous shopping complexes in the Coal City as their destination for shopping.
