LAGOS AUGUST 4TH (NEWSRANGERS)-At least seven members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the main opposition party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have resigned from their posts effective immediately.

The party’s National Organising Secretary, Colonel Austin Akobundu (retd), who confirmed the development, said those who resigned from their posts are deputy members of the party’s NWC but did not categorically say why they dumped the NWC.

Those that stepped down include Deputy National Financial Secretary, Deputy Legal Adviser, Deputy National Auditor, Deputy Publicity Secretary, Deputy Women Leader and Deputy Organising Secretary.

THEWILL however gathered that their resignation is linked to the plot to pressure the embattled National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus, to vacate his position before the December end of the tenure of the NWC.
