Lagos: Apprentice Who Uses Customer’s Car For Robbery In Police Net

LAGOS MAY 2ND (NEWSRANGERS)-Three suspected armed robbers have been arrested in Lagos, amongst them is an apprentice who surrendered a customer’s car used for the robbery operation.
The apprentice, identified as Samuel Adebisi and two others , Kayode Damilola and Kazeem Akeem  were alleged to have robbed residents of Westwood Estate Langbasa in Ajah area of the state at early hours of Thursday.
Adebisi, who is said to be an apprentice in a painting shop was alleged to have stolen a Honda CR-V Jeep marked FST 967 AX, brought to their shop for painting and used it for the robbery operation with members of the gang.
Following complaint at Langbasa Police Station, our correspondent gathered that operatives from the station swiftly mobilised to the scene where the suspects were arrested.
As learnt, one cut- to- size double barrel pistol, one expended and unexpended cartridges, one Cutlass, a knife, a pair of military uniform, one red beret and one Wema bank ATM card belonging to a victim were recovered from them. 
The Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu who made the disclosure during a press briefing said Investigation has revealed that the suspects are also members of Eiye confraternity, terrorizing Langbasa and its environs.  
His words, ” On the 26/3/2021 at about 0530hrs, an information was received that some dare-devilled armed robbers operating in a Honda CRV Jeep were sighted robbing occupants of Westwood Estate , Langbasa Lagos of their valuables.

INVESTIGATION: Upon receipt of the information, Police operatives mobilized to the Estate where they arrested the robbers namely; Kazeem Akeem ‘m’, Kayode Damilola ‘m’ and Adebisi Samuel ‘m’ while others escaped.

Their operational Honda CRV Jeep with Reg. No.FST 967 AX, one cut-to-size double barrel pistol, one expended and unexpended cartridges, one cutlass, a knife, a pair of military uniform, one red beret and one Wema bank ATM card belonging to a victim was recovered from them. 
It is of note, that one of the suspects, Samuel Adebisi ‘m’ is an apprentice and the recovered Honda CRV Jeep was brought to their shop for painting by a customer. He stole the said vehicle and used it for the robbery operation.
It was equally revealed that the suspects are also members of Eiye confraternity, terrorizing Langbasa and its environs. STATUS OF CASE: Investigation is ongoing to apprehend the fleeing members of the gang and to also recover more of their operational arms”.
