Pastor Arrested For Allegedly Invading Chinese Embassy With 100 Protesters

LAGOS APIL 22ND (NEWSRANGERS)-Founder Resurrection Praise Ministries for Africa, Archbishop Samson Benjamin has been arrested by the Police in Lagos.

The clergyman known as Jehovah Sharp Sharp was arrested for allegedly invading the Chinese Embassy with about 100 of his followers to protest the recent ill-treatment meted out to some Nigerians by the Chinese government in China.

A video recently went viral showing how some Africans, especially Nigerians being subjected to inhuman treatment by the Chinese government.

Jehovah Sharp Sharp is currently detained at the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti, Yaba.

A video clip of what was alleged to be an invasion of the embassy was sent to the police authorities in the state and a team of policemen from Victoria Island division was drafted to the scene.

A police officer who spoke on the condition of anonymity as he was not supposed to speak with the press said :

” Yes, we picked him up following his invasion of the Chinese Embassy with about 100 members of his Church. We are still interrogating him. So far he has denied the allegation of invasion. He claimed that he only visited the embassy to express his displeasures over the plights of some Nigerians in China. We are still studying the video clips sent to us by the Chinese embassy”.

However, one of his aides confirmed the arrest,saying :” We are trying to bail him.He soon be released ,but we are still in the police
