Fleeing Gunmen Open Fire On Abuja Commuters, Kill Four

LAGOS DECEMBER 9TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers who were reported to be looking for an escape route from police aerial attack on Sunday, 8 December 2019 have attacked and killed four road users in Abuja.

Independent Online gathered that operatives of the FCT Police Command in its ongoing joint operation with other security agencies to flush out kidnappers in the command area had attacked the base of the kidnappers in an aerial strike.

It was further gathered that the aerial strike had forced the marauding hoodlums to rush to the road, opening fire at an oncoming vehicle, around Kwaita, Kwali area council, killing four persons in the process.

Bala Ciroma, Commissioner of Police for the command, explained that operation is still ongoing, the operatives have been able to arrest one of the suspects with the aid of community members. He said the command will provide more information on the ongoing operation while commiserating with the deceased.
