JUST IN: Scores Dead, 40 Vehicles Burnt In Lagos Tanker Explosion

LAGOS JUNE 28TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Scores of people were reported to have roasted to death as result of a fuel-laden tanker that exploded along the Otedola Bridge axis of Berger in Lagos with the blaze engulfing at least forty other vehicles.
The tanker was heading out of Lagos towards the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway when the crash occurred, causing panic and fear.
Traffic has been stopped on both side of the road and emergency officials are at the scene trying to put out the fire and attend to those affected.
Many people were feared trapped in their cars but the authorities have not given any casualty figure yet.
An eye witness however told NewRangers that the casualty should be over ten as people are trapped in the vehicles that are in flames.
Our source reported that the casualty figure might be on the high side because of the huge vehicular traffic on the bridge before the explosion went off.
Already, emergency agencies like the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and other secondary responders have been deployed to the scene.
