Nigerian Develops Phone That Make And Receive Calls Without Sim Or Recharge Card

LAGOS JUNE 24TH (NEWSRANGERS)-A Nigerian man named Umar Usman Dagona who emerged National Winner of a Chemistry competition, and went on to represent Nigeria online in the Imagine Chemistry Worldwide 2020, has developed a cellphone that can make and receive calls without sim card or recharge card.

Umar Dagona is from Gashua town of Bade local government, Yobe State. Umar was the one who represented Nigeria at the world chemistry competition and came out Second Position which gave him a win of $400,000 after beating other candidates from many countries. Dagona studied NCE chemistry education at Yobe state Umar Suleiman Collage of Education in Gashua town.

This time, the brilliant Nigerian has solved the major problem of telecommunications in Nigeria, which is how to get a phone recharged. An average Nigeria does not spend less than 5k a month for recharge cards used in communicating with his/her families and friends. Dogana’s innovative idea has solved this problem or at least reduced the expenses.

Many Nigerians are creative and brilliant. They just need their ideas to be incubated through funding and supports. It has been said that Nigerians can achieve whatever they want if they have the right support.
