Nigerian Wrestler, Apollo Crew Wins WWE United States Title Defense 24 Hours After Backlash

LAGOS JUNE 16TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Apollo Crews has yet again defended his first World Wrestling Entertainment championship in great scenario on the latest episode of Monday night RAW.

The Benue State original showed little of fatigue or tiredness as another mysterious competitor knocked on his door as a challenger for the WWE United States Championship.

Former United States Champion was spotted motivating Shelton Benjamin on the red brand show and Benjamin came out to answer the challenge of Apollo Crews.

With just less than twenty four hours of competing and defeating Andrade Cien Almas in kick-off match of WWE Backlash Pay-Per-View, Apollo Crews conquered Shelton Benjamin.

With this, the 32-year-old is edging closing to championship reign of one month duration and as a self acclaimed fighting champion.

The athletic superstar has now successfully defended the title against Andrade Cien Almas, Angel Garza, Kevin Owens and Shelton Benjamin.

It has been speculated that Apollo Crews could be losing his first title very soon due to the news of Paul Heyman’s removal as the Executive Director of Monday night RAW.

Paul Heyman who is known as an advocate to the “Beast” Brock Lesnar in June 2019 was announced to be the executive director of RAW.

It was reported that Heyman had been removed from the executive director position of Raw could affect Apollo Crews Championship span.

WWE did so in an effort to streamline both the Raw and Smackdown writing teams into one group, to be led by Bruce Prichard.

It was later revealed that the reasons for Heyman’s dismissal as executive director was because Heyman was focused on pushing younger talent like Apollo Crews during a pandemic, where Vince McMahon felt It just wasn’t the right time to do this in front of zero live fans expecting immediate results.
