Nigerians React As Twelve Out Of Thirteen Promoted AIGs Are From North
LAGOS NOVEMBER 10TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Some Nigerians have taken to their social media to register their dissatisfaction over the promotion of 13 Assistant Inspector General of Police by Inspector General of Police, Mohamad Adamu.
This was announced earlier by the police headquarters Abuja earlier in the week following the recent promotion of AIG to commissioners, were redeployed immediately.
Full list of the newly promoted and redeployed AIGs are as follows:
- AIG Dan Bature, fdc – AIG DFA FHQ
- AIG Hyelasinda Kimo Musa – AIG PMF
- AIG Yunana Y. Babas, mni– AIG Zone 8 Lokoja
- AIG Dan Mallam Mohammed, fdc – AIG SPU
- AIG Mua’zu Zubairu Halilu – AIG CTU
- AIG Rabiu Yusuf – AIG ICT
- AIG Ahmed Iliyasu – AIG Zone 2, Lagos
- AIG Mohammed Uba Kura – AIG Maritime
- AIG Zaki M. Ahmed – AIG Zone 6, Calabar
- AIG Zama Bala Senchi – AIG Community Policing
- AIG Bello A. Sadiq – AIG Zone 1, Kano
- AIG Austin Agbonlahor Iwero – AIG DOPS FHQ
- AIG Lawal Ado – AIG Works.
Some Nigerians who found the promotion as lopsided have engaged social media blazing, noting that only person is from the West.
A Facebook commenter, Johnpaul Emerah, said: This is not matter of God to help us, the decision is on our hands, it is time for every region to go their separate ways.
Paulinus Udoinyang, wrote: Oh my God, my uncle AIG Umoh Otong’s name missing. But why??? and Joshua Ebiloma added: Out of the 13 names listed above, 12 are from one particular region.
Olatunde Ajeigbe, who could not hide his feeling had this to say: Nigeria can never get it right with Apc, their government is purely for the north, southerners in APC are just slaves, scavengers, an agent of retrogression, failure and insensitivity. And Joshua Anunibe acknowledged: No Igbo, all northerners!! That is what APC and Buhari stand for.
