Panic In Benin As Acclaimed ‘Wizard From Heaven’ Gets Stranded In A Parked Car
LAGOS FEBRUARY 12TH (NEWSRANGERS)-A man who claimed to be a wizard from heaven created a mild drama in Ikhuewn community, in Benin City, the Edo State capital after he was spotted in a car parked on a street belonging to a resident of the community.
The owner of the car one Papa Benjamin was said to have raised an alarm after stepping out of his house on Tuesday morning to find the self-acclaimed wizard identified simply as Success sitting comfortably on the driver side of the car he locked before going to bed the previous night.
According to an eyewitness, the neighborhood was woken up by the scream of Papa Benjamin who alerted neighbours to the strange scene.
“The car was opened and Success was found in the car with a padlock and keys. He initially pretended to be deaf and dumb but started speaking immediately a slap was launched on his face by the neighbors who had assumed he was a car thief.
When they interrogated him further, he confessed to being a wizard from heaven and was sent to move the car out of compound at midnight but was prevented by kids he saw in the compound,” the witness said.
When the owner of the car called the police to come to the scene, they were said to have refused to show up, saying the case was that of witchcraft and they wanted no hands in it.
Success has since been taken to the Enogie (Chief) of the community for further questioning, the eyewitness said.
