Super Eagles Star, Osimhen Returns From Injury To Score And inspire Napoli To 3-1 Victory
LAGOS MARCH 8TH (NEWSRANGERS)-Super Eagles of Nigeria Striker Victor Osimhen returned from injury to inspired Gennaro Gattuso led Napoli football club of Italy to a 3-1 victory over Bologna FC, at Diego Armando Maradona stadium on Sunday evening in the week 25 of the Italian serie A.
The former LOSC Lille star who was injured in his team’s 4-2 defeat to Atalanta FC three weeks ago was able to return to action on Sunday, as he was introduced in the 53rd minutes to replace Dries Mertens, and he was able to impress after coming in, as he marked his return with a fine goal.
Coach Gennaro Gattuso introduced the Nigerian international in the second half, and he was able to play a vital role in his team’s deserved home victory.
Napoli FC opened scoring through Lorenzo Insigne in the 8th minutes after receiving an assist from Piotr Zielinaki to end the first half 1-0.
Substitute Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen doubled the lead in the 65th minutes through an assist from Piotr Zielinaki, while Roberto Soriano made it 2-1, before Lorenzo Insigne made it 3-1 in the 76th minutes to end the match 3-1 in favour of Gennaro Gattuso’s men.
Victor Osimhen was impressive after coming in, in the second half, and he was able to marked his impressive performance with a fine goal.
The victory over Bologna FC now means Napoli FC have moved to the 6th spot in the Italian serie A table with 47 points from 25 matches played.
