UNILAG Rolls Out Programme For 51st Convocation Ceremonies

LAGOS JUNE 30TH (NEWSRANGERS)-The management of University of Lagos (UNILAG) has released programme for the 51st convocation of the graduates of the school.

A statement sighted by NewsRangers disclosed that  the University Convocation Ceremonies shall commence with the Pre-Convocation Press Conference on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10am in the Senate Chamber.

This will be followed by the Convocation Lecture which  hold on Monday, July 5, 2021 at 12 Noon in the J.F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium and admittance is free to all.

The statement explained that  in the light of the COVID- 19 prevention protocols, the Convocation Ceremonies would be blended but not devoid of glamour, adding that the Conferment of Degrees shall take place at the J.F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium from Tuesday, July 6, 2021 to Thursday, July 8, 2021 with strict adherence to COVID -19 protocols.

“There shall be two  sessions (Morning and Afternoon) on Convocation Day 1 (Undergraduates) and Day 2( Undergraduates & PG – PGD & MSc. only)

“There shall be only one (1) session on Convocation Day 3 (Ph.D and Honourary degrees). Parents/Guardians and the General Public are cordially invited to the Ceremonies. However, Access to the Auditorium is restricted.

“Admittance into the J.F. Ade Ajayi Auditorium is strictly by invitation. Graduands who wish to access the Auditoriun are required to log onto the University website (www.unilag.edu.ng) to register and print their Access ticket.

“ Graduands are required to regularly check the University website for updates. All Ph.D awardees shall attend the Convocation Ceremonies on Day 3.

“Please note that there shall be No Parties and use of canopies within the University campus.* DSA,” the statement read.
